Abstract
The present invention relates to a patient monitoring method and device (10) for monitoring a patient. The method comprises obtaining one or more physiological signals of the patient, determining an event risk of a future health adverse event of the patient based on one or more of the obtained physiological signals, real-time monitoring of a current health adverse event of the patient based on one or more of the obtained physiological signals using a monitoring algorithm having one or more adjustable configuration parameters, and adjusting one or more of the adjustable configuration parameters of the monitoring algorithm based on the determined event risk.
