Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to a modified SCM-36 molecular sieve and a preparation method and use thereof. In the present disclosure, hydrogen-form SCM-36 is used to carry out sulfonate loading, obtaining a modified SCM-36-SO<sub>3</sub>H molecular sieve, which has a schematic chemical composition represented by the formula "mSiO<sub>2</sub>•nAl<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>•pSO<sub>3</sub>H", wherein 22 ≤ m/n ≤ 80, and 10 ≤ m/p ≤ 160. In the biomass → HMF reaction, the use of modified SCM-36-SO<sub>3</sub>H molecular sieve as a solid acid catalyst provides the method with the advantages of simple operation, high product selectivity, good catalyst stability, easy product separation, and easy catalyst recovery, achieving a green and efficient conversion of biomass to 5-hydroxymethylfurfural.
