Abstract

This disclosure provides a gas barrier film including a substrate layer; and a gas barrier layer formed on the substrate layer and containing silicon oxide, wherein in an infrared absorption spectrum from a surface side of the gas barrier layer, the ratio of the peak area of the absorption peak at 3,100 cm<-1> or more and 3,700 cm<-1> or less derived from the OH bond to the peak area of the absorption peak at 720 cm<-1> or more and 1,320 cm<-1> or less derived from the Si-O-Si bond is 0.25 or less.
