Abstract

Provided is a method for treating a chlorosilane-based compound including: introducing a feed stream including a chlorosilane-based compound to a liquid area of a column, the liquid area including a first aqueous solution in a column and reacting the chlorosilane-based compound with water to obtain an upper discharge flow of a liquid area including a hydrogen chloride gas; introducing the upper discharge flow of the liquid area to a packing area placed above the liquid area; supplying a second aqueous solution including a basic material to a distribution area placed above the packing area and introducing the second aqueous solution supplied to the distribution area to the packing area; and neutralizing the hydrogen chloride gas included in the upper discharge flow of the liquid area and the basic material included in the second aqueous solution in the packing area to obtain a lower discharge flow of the packing area including a chloride salt and an upper discharge stream of the column.
