Abstract
The present disclosure provides an amino acid-cobalt complex, where the amino acid is glutamic acid or aspartic acid. The present disclosure further provides a use of the aforementioned amino acid-cobalt complex for preparing antibacterial or antiviral compositions; the use of the amino acid-cobalt complex of the present disclosure or the composition prepared therefrom can effectively inhibit the activity of various pathogenic bacteria or viruses. Furthermore, based on the characteristics of the single amino acid and its chelated metal ion, it enhances safety during individual use while providing effective antibacterial or antiviral activity.
