Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method of monitoring an animal foodstuff (54) comprising measuring one or more property of the foodstuff using a sensor (22) on a monitoring device (2) inserted into the foodstuff (54) and storing said measurement data on the monitoring device (2). The monitoring device (2) receives data (38) relating to one or more processing stage (36) of the foodstuff.
