Abstract
A battery management apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a profile obtaining unit configured to obtain a charge profile and a discharge profile representing a charge and discharge characteristic of a battery; and a diagnosing unit configured to calculate a hysteresis characteristic value based on voltage difference information between the charge profile and the discharge profile in a target section and to compare the hysteresis characteristic value with a diagnosis value to diagnose a state of the battery.
