Abstract
A battery cell inspection device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises an electrode assembly and a battery case in which the electrode assembly is mounted, with the battery cell inspection device comprising a sensor unit that faces at least one end of the battery cell, wherein the sensor unit is spaced from one end of the battery cell by a limit height before a venting phenomenon occurs in the battery cell, and detects whether one end of the battery cell has swelled to the limit height, and wherein the limit height is the height to which one end of the battery cell has swelled just before being vented due to gas generated within the battery cell.
