Abstract
A gas composition comprising oxygen and/or ozone is provided for use in treatment to reduce inflammation in conditions characterized by dysregulated immune response, to preserve organ function in conditions characterized by dysregulated immune response, and to protect the endothelium or restore endothelial function in conditions characterized by dysregulated immune response. Said use of the gas composition comprising oxygen and/or ozone reduces one or more pro-inflammatory cytokines, thereby reducing inflammation.
