Abstract

A liquid discharge unit (20) includes: a first head (22) having a first nozzle face having first nozzles on the first nozzle face, the first head configured to discharge a liquid from the first nozzles in a discharge direction, a second head (22) having a second nozzle face having second nozzles on the second nozzle face, the second head configured to discharge a liquid from the second nozzles in the discharge direction, one carriage (23) configured to: mounting the first head and the second head; and movable in a main scanning direction orthogonal to the discharge direction; and a first cap (60), in the one carriage (23), configured to cap the first nozzle face of the first head (22); and a second cap (60), in the one carriage (23), configured to cap the second nozzle face of the second head (22).
