Abstract
A cellulose-based material of the present disclosure includes cellulose having a crystallinity of 50% or less, and a coating material that coats hydroxy groups on a surface of the cellulose at a coverage of 0.1% or more and 20% or less, in which the coating material is at least one selected from the group consisting of an aliphatic compound, an aromatic compound, and a higher alcohol.
