Abstract
Processes for producing polyoxyalkylene polyols using a double metal cyanide catalyst, in which the resulting polyoxyalkylene polyols produced by the processes can contain reduced levels "high molecular weight tail". The polyoxyalkylene polyol has an OH number of OH<target> in which OH<target> has a value of no more than 115 mg KOH/g polyol. In the process, H-functional starter and alkylene oxide are continuously added to a reactor in the presence of a double metal cyanide catalyst. In these processes, the continuous addition of H-functional starter is stopped at a point in the process in which an OH number of the reactor contents is no less than 2.6·OH<target>.
