Abstract
A droplet control device for controlling droplets produced from a polysaccharide and a polyether includes a light irradiation unit configured to irradiate with light and a monitoring unit configured to monitor a state of the droplets, in which an aqueous medium containing the droplets further contains a photoisomerizable compound, and the light irradiation unit is configured to irradiate the aqueous medium with light having a wavelength that causes the photoisomerizable compound to undergo photoisomerization.
