Abstract

An image pickup apparatus (100) includes an image sensor, and a mount unit (120, 121) configured to detachably hold an interchangeable lens. The mount unit has a plurality of concave portions (120a, 120b, 120c, 120d) in a side surface of the mount unit. The concave portions are arranged so that, in projection in a direction parallel to an axis passing through a center of the mount unit, a triangle with three of points included in the concave portions as vertices contains the center.
