Abstract

An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a charging member, a transfer member, a first conveyance path, one or more first conveyance roller pairs, a reverse conveyance member, a second conveyance, and one or more second conveyance roller pairs. The second conveyance path merges with the first conveyance path at a position upstream of the transfer portion in the first conveyance direction. The second conveyance path includes a guide member. A downstream end of the guide member in the second conveyance direction forms an upstream edge, in the first conveyance direction, of an opening portion that is a merging portion where a conveyance space of the second conveyance path communicates with a conveyance space of the first conveyance path.
