Abstract

Method for producing a metadata chip (8) of data modules (41), comprising the steps of preparing a sacrificial layer (2), a first structural layer (3) configured to allows light to pass through, a design layer (4) being capable of including bidimensional metadata information, having a high optical contrast, shaping the design layer (4) using a photolithography, engraving or etching technique, to define shape and dimensions of a data module (41), shaping a first cover (31) of the data modules (41), and removing the sacrificial layer (2) in order to produce metadata chips (8) not easily visible, containing metadata security information, for enhancing security.
