Abstract

A blood processing device includes a pump system configured to be actuated during a blood processing procedure to draw blood from a subject and/or to convey a fluid to the subject. The blood processing device also includes a controller programmed to control operation of the pump system during the blood processing procedure. The controller is further programmed to retrieve or be provided with information regarding a medical profile of the subject, adjust at least one parameter of the blood processing procedure based at least in part on the medical profile of the subject, and execute the blood processing procedure with the adjusted parameter.
