Abstract

The invention relates to a radial vent plate (1) for a rotating electric machine. The radial vent plate (1) comprises a single-piece body cut or formed from a sheet material, wherein the single-piece body is configured to axially overlap with core plates (3) of the rotating electric machine to form cooling channels therebetween. The invention further relates to a rotating electric machine comprising a plurality of such radial vent plates (1) arranged to axially overlap with core plates (3) of at least one of a stator or a rotor (120), forming cooling channels within the rotating electric machine.
