Abstract

A power conversion system includes a power conversion device and a controller. The power conversion device includes a three-phase full-bridge circuit to which DC power is input and which has three legs connected in parallel between a high-potential line and a low-potential line. In one or two phases of the three-phase full-bridge circuit, a midpoint of the corresponding leg is connected to a power supply wiring for a load via a reactor. The controller includes a first controller working to control a switching operation of the power conversion device by receiving, as inputs, a pseudo torque command signal based on an output command signal for the load and a phase angle signal based on a detection signal indicative of supplied electric power, and a second controller working to generate and output the pseudo torque command signal and the phase angle signal to the first controller. This enables the power conversion system to be capable of supplying electric power in accordance with an output request without changing software, even when an existing power conversion device is repurposed.
