Abstract

Provided is a photoelectric conversion element in which a defect of a crystal having a perovskite structure is protected, and leakage resistance property and conversion efficiency are improved.The photoelectric conversion element includes: a first electrode; a second electrode; and a photoelectric conversion layer arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode, the photoelectric conversion layer containing a crystal having a perovskite structure. The photoelectric conversion element includes, between the photoelectric conversion layer and the first electrode, a charge-transporting layer containing: a cyclic conjugated compound in which a plurality of pyrrole rings are bonded by conjugated bonds; and an aliphatic resin having at least one kind of functional group selected from the group consisting of: a hydroxy group; and a carboxy group.
