Abstract
To provide a photoelectric conversion element having improved durability, the present invention is directed to a photoelectric conversion element including: a first electrode; a second electrode; and a photoelectric conversion layer arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode, the photoelectric conversion layer containing a crystal having a perovskite structure, wherein the photoelectric conversion element includes a charge-transporting layer between the photoelectric conversion layer and the first electrode, wherein the charge-transporting layer contains a charge-transporting substance and an insulating resin that are phase-separated from each other, wherein a ratio of a volume of a region of the charge-transporting substance to a volume of a region of the insulating resin is 5 to 30, and wherein, in a binarized image of a two-dimensional spatial distribution of a region A and a region B obtained by measuring the charge-transporting layer with an optical microscope, when a value obtained by Fourier analysis of the binarized image, the value being determined by the following method of calculating D, is represented by D [µm], the D [µm] satisfies 4≤D≤12.
