Abstract

A workpiece-holding apparatus for a machine tool, comprising a plurality of workpiece-holding devices, which in turn comprise:- a longitudinal beam;- at least one carriage movable along the longitudinal development of the beam;- a workpiece locking member provided on the carriage,wherein at least one of said workpiece-holding devices further comprises:- at least one lateral reference surface for the workpiece to be machined, against which the workpiece is configured to abut to establish a first spatial reference of the workpiece in the machine tool to which the workpiece-holding apparatus is associated;- a front reference surface, orthogonal to the lateral reference surface, for the workpiece to be machined, against which the workpiece is configured to abut to establish a second spatial reference of the workpiece in the machine tool to which the workpiece-holding apparatus is associated;- a device for varying the longitudinal position along the longitudinal development of the beam for said at least one lateral reference surface, to establish said first spatial reference for a workpiece being machined on the machine to which the workpiece-holding apparatus is associated.
