Abstract

A label feeding system for a printer comprises a basket (1) provided with a plurality of superposed support planes for holding labels, a pushing element (3) configured to transfer a label from the basket, a conveyor belt (4) arranged to receive the label, a lift (2) configured to vertically position the basket with respect to the conveyor belt, and a barrier (5) arranged at an end of the conveyor belt. The barrier (5) is movable between a raised position and a lowered position. In the lowered position, the barrier (5) cooperates with the conveyor belt (4) so as to intercept a leading edge of the label while generating relative sliding between the conveyor belt (4) and the label, thereby causing alignment of at least one side of the label parallel to the barrier (5) before printing. A printer comprising the feeding system is also disclosed.
