Abstract

There is provided an end fitting (100; 200) for a reinforced thermoplastic pipe, a flexible pipe (104; 204), and a method (300) of connecting an end fitting to an end portion (106; 206) of a pipe body (102; 202). The end fitting comprises a first tubular member (108; 208), and a second tubular member (110; 210) disposed radially outwardly of the first tubular member to define an annular gap (112; 212) therebetween for receiving an end portion of a pipe body. An outer diameter of the first tubular member is greater at a first end (116; 216) of the annular gap than at a second end (118; 218) of the annular gap. The first tubular member is only connected to the second tubular member at the second end of the annular gap.
