Abstract
Example embodiments provide a system and a method for fault monitoring of an electrical system for airfield ground lighting. The method comprises monitoring current changes occurring in a lighting circuit 308 of the electrical system with a plurality of measurement devices 200 installed to monitor the current without being part of the lighting circuit 308. The method further comprises detecting an indication of a fault in the lighting circuit 308 and a location of the fault based on the current measurements received from the measurement devices 200.
