Abstract

An electrical switch includes a housing recessed within a wall and an actuator pivotally mounted about a rotation axis to switch contacts between two stable positions. The actuator is positioned at the front when recessed. The switch is characterized by a spring mounting aperture (103, 104) extending from the back surface toward the actuator, offset from the rotation axis, to accommodate a removable compression spring (102, 105). When inserted, the spring is preloaded against the actuator, biasing it toward one stable position, enabling monostable operation, while removing the spring allows bistable functionality, offering a versatile and adaptable switching mechanism.
