Abstract
The present invention relates to a satellite communication system comprising at least one satellite base station and at least one ground station, preferably a user equipment (UE), wherein the at least one satellite base station is equipped with a software-defined virtual node and a digital beam forming (DBF) front-end configured to connect directly to the at least one UE.
