Abstract

In some implementations, a method may include configuring a roundtrip delay adjustment mechanism including at least one of different QoE levels defined for each flexible object, dependency information between a QoE level of flexible objects, an adjustment strategy, or adjustment criteria. In addition, the method may include receiving a notification from a Radio Access Network (RAN) indicating a reduction in RAN connectivity where RAN connectivity may include RAN conditions or RAN capacity. The method may include determining a first appropriate set of QoE levels based on the configured adjustment criteria, where the first appropriate set of QoE levels includes a respective QoE level for each flexible object. In addition, the method may include measuring at least one roundtrip delay and at least one elementary task processing delay including calculating the at least one roundtrip delay based on several samples after determining RAN connectivity is returned to an acceptable level.
