Abstract

Method for fitting a hearing device with a fitting software with a modified sound perception of sound types to an end user, the method comprising the steps of:• Providing a chart (1) with a graphical interface and specific chart regions (8), wherein each specific chart region (8) is assigned to at least one specific sound type,• Selecting a specific chart region (8) whose assigned specific sound type shall be processed such that its sound representation and thus its perception is to be modified,• Selecting one option from a virtual toolbox (17) to alter a current value (16) that is responsible for a current functional representation of the at least one further isophone (5) in the selected specific chart region (8) to a new value (10) that is responsible for a new functional representation of the at least one further isophone (5),• Calculating the second sound representation and thus the second perception based on the new functional representation of the at least one further isophone (5),• Displaying the new functional representation of the at least one further isophone (5) in the chart (1) or in a further chart.
