Abstract

Described is a baler (1) for forming round bales of agricultural products comprising: a binding device (4) for wrapping the bale formed with a plastic film or a net. The binding device comprises: a reel of film or net which provides the wrapping film or net; a cutting device (401); a duckbill (402) for drawing the wrapping film from the reel along a scroll path (P) and for feeding the film into the compression chamber of the baler in the feeding direction, in such a way that the bale is wrapped by the wrapping film thanks to the rotary movement of the bale. The duckbill is movable between a drawing position and an injection position. The duckbill includes a first part (402A) and a second part (402B) with a clamping configuration, wherein the first and the second parts grab the film, and an open configuration, wherein the first and the second parts do not impede the movement of the film along the scroll path. The first and second parts are in the clamping configuration when the duckbill is in the injection position and when the cutting device is in the operating position for cutting the film.
