Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide a sole and footwear having a structure that makes it easier for a user to bring the tip toes down, centered on the area of the toes of the foot sole. A sole (1) provided in footwear, including a concave portion (2) which is formed in an area opposite the base portion of the toes of a foot (3) wearing the footwear and the vicinity thereof, and on a contact surface with the ground, and the concave portion (2) being configured such that the sole (1) is folded in a ground contact direction easily. A user can grasp the sole (1) by the tip toes because the sole (1) is formed with the concave portion (2), preferably a groove.
