Abstract

A rocking support device for the seat of a chair, comprising a support body (2) having a lower face (21), designed to be mounted on a support structure (100) of a chair (10), and an opposite upper face (22). The device (1) further comprises a movable plate (3), which is intended to be secured to a seat (101) of the chair (100), and is pivotally mounted on the upper face (22) of the support body (2) about a rotation fulcrum (F), to allow relative movement between the movable plate (3) and the support body (2). The device (1) further comprises elastic means (4), which are mechanically interposed between the upper face (22) of the support body (2) and the movable plate (3), and are configured to deform elastically as a result of the movement of the movable plate (3) about the rotation fulcrum (F).The elastic means (4) comprise at least four flexible arms (41), wherein each flexible arm (41) extends outwardly from a first end (41'), secured to the upper face (22) of the support body (2), to a second end (41"), opposite the first end (41'), which elastically supports the movable plate (3). The flexible arms (41) are configured to deform elastically under bending, as a result of the movement of the movable plate (3) about the rotation fulcrum (F).
