Abstract

Compositions for dyeing keratin fibers are described. These dyeing compositions comprise, in a cosmetically acceptable medium:(a) at least one oxidative dye precursor selected from the group consisting of N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, its addition salts, its solvates and/or solvates of its salts;(b) at least one oxidative dye precursor selected from the group consisting of 2-amino-4-hydroxyethylaminoanisole, its addition salts, its solvates and/or solvates of its salts;(c) at least one oxidative dye precursor selected from the group consisting of resorcinol, its derivatives, and/or solvates or salts of its derivates; and(d) at least one alkalizing agent;wherein the molar ratio of (a) to (b) ranges from about 1 to about 5; and wherein the molar ratio of (a) to (c) ranges from about 0.05 to about 0.30.These dyeing compositions can maintain a vibrant hair (cool) color and, at the same time, minimize the hair color fading (i.e. slower rate of color loss).
