Abstract

The invention relates to a manual tile cutting system (100) comprising a sliding carriage (1) and a guide rail (4) for precise scoring of ceramic tiles. The sliding carriage (1) is configured to be slidably connected to an upper guide (2) and a lower guide (3) of the guide rail (4), which are spaced apart in a vertical direction and extend parallel along a longitudinal direction. The sliding carriage (1) comprises a carrier structure (5) supporting an upper bearing system (6) and a lower bearing system (8), each including at least one bearing (7, 9) that engages the respective guides (2, 3) to constrain movement in vertical and lateral directions while allowing smooth longitudinal sliding. A scoring mechanism (10), connected to the sliding carriage (1), includes a scoring wheel (11) that engages a tile surface during scoring. The guide rail (4) provides a stable guiding structure and is suitable for being secured to a surface via suction cups (33).
