Abstract

Provided is a liquid container (100) including: a liquid storage portion (101) configured to store a liquid inside; a nozzle (111) having an outlet port (112) for refilling a liquid ejection apparatus (1) with the liquid stored in the liquid storage portion; an outer frame (121) surrounding a tip side of the nozzle where the outlet port is formed; a shutter (131) provided to the outer frame and capable of moving to a first position at which the shutter covers the outlet port and a second position at which the shutter exposes the outlet port; and a valve (152) provided inside the nozzle and capable of opening and closing a liquid channel (113) connected to the outlet port. In a case of connecting the liquid container to the liquid ejection apparatus, the shutter moves to the second position and the valve opens the liquid channel.
