Abstract

A thermal printer (10), includes a thermal head (20) configured to perform printing on recording paper; a platen roller (30), which is arranged at a position opposed to the thermal head (20), and is configured to convey the recording paper by nipping the recording paper between the platen roller (30) and the thermal head (20); a head support member (40) having conductivity, which is configured to support the thermal head (20); a head shaft (50) having conductivity, which is configured to rotatably support the head support member (40); a motor housing (62) having conductivity, which is provided on an outer periphery of a motor main body (61) configured to rotate the platen roller (30); and a conductive member (70) configured to be held in contact with the head support member (40), the head shaft (50), and the motor housing (62) to provide electrical connection therebetween.
