Abstract

A printer for outputting output stacks of printed print media. The printer comprises a print controller for controlling the printing process and a plurality of modules through which a paper path is defined along which sheets are transported from a first module of the plurality to a last module of the plurality. The printer comprises a user display which is bi-directionally movable by a driving device along a track system extending on top of and over at least two of the plurality of modules. Upon a receipt of an error signal by the print controller from a module out of the at least two modules, the user display is automatically moved to the module along the track system.
