Abstract

A computer system and computer-implemented method are disclosed for determining a control input for a suspension system of a vehicle. The computer system comprises processing circuitry configured to: determine an objective relating to motion of the vehicle, select a format for a control input for the suspension system from a plurality of formats based on the objective, the plurality of formats comprising two or more of: a first format comprising a request for a vertical force to be implemented on a wheel of the vehicle by the suspension system, a second format comprising a request for a vertical velocity of a wheel of the vehicle to be implemented by the suspension system, and a third format comprising a request for a vertical position of a wheel of the vehicle to be implemented by the suspension system; and determine a control input for the suspension system according to the selected format and based on the objective.
