Abstract

Provided are: a method for treating wastewater that allows the amount of industrial waste produced to be reduced by mixing a concentrated waste liquid with wastewater and performing wastewater treatment; and a method for precisely estimating the wastewater load at a wastewater inlet section of wastewater treatment equipment that treats a mixed liquid of wastewater and a concentrated waste liquid. The invention estimates the wastewater load at a wastewater treatment inlet section of wastewater treatment equipment that treats a mixed liquid resulting from the confluence of wastewater and a concentrated waste liquid. The invention includes: measuring a first pollution load of the wastewater; estimating, on the basis of the first pollution load, a pollution load derived from wastewater at a confluence point of the wastewater and the concentrated waste liquid, or at a predetermined position downstream of the confluence point; measuring a second pollution load of the concentrated waste liquid; estimating, on the basis of the second pollution load, a pollution load of the concentrated waste liquid at the confluence point or the predetermined position; and estimating the wastewater load on the basis of the estimated value of the pollution load derived from wastewater and the estimated value of the pollution load of the concentrated waste liquid at the confluence point or the predetermined position.
