Abstract

The present invention concerns the field of recombinant protein production and in particular of Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) production. Specifically, the invention relates to a large-scale process for the preparation of toxin-free PDGF proteins, and in particular for the preparation of PDGF-BB. Further aspects of the invention relate to PDGF-BB protein obtainable by the process, and cosmetic and pharmaceutical uses of the protein.
