Abstract

Magnetic domain refining by groove formation and magnetic domain refining by tension application are realized without increasing the building factor. In a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having grooves aligned at defined positions on the steel sheet and including a forsterite film and an insulating coating on both sides of the steel sheet, the Ra of the forsterite film at the center of the grooves is 5.00 µm or more, and an average thickness of the insulating coating at the bottom of the grooves is 1.50 µm or more.
