Abstract

An electrolysis device includes: an electrolysis cell stack having a first and a second flow path through which a first and a second fluid flows; a flow rate controller to control a flow rate of the first fluid through the first flow path; a controller; a flowmeter; and a concentration meter to measure a concentration of a reduction product in the second fluid. The controller is configured to calculate a variation in ratio of a supply flow rate to a theoretical flow rate of a reducible material in the cells using first data indicating a relation between a supply amount of the reducible material in the cell and a Faraday efficiency of the reduction product and using second data indicating a Faraday efficiency of the reduction product in the cell stack, and control the flow rate controller controlling the flow rate of the first fluid according to the variation.
