Abstract

A refrigerant processing apparatus (100) and a method of operating the same are provided. The apparatus (100) recovers a refrigerant mixture from an air conditioning system and stores the refrigerant mixture in a storage tank (ST), provides the recovered refrigerant mixture in the storage tank (ST) to a mixing container (MC), determines a mixing ratio of the recovered refrigerant mixture provided to the mixing container (MC), provides at least one single-component refrigerant from a material refrigerant tank (MT) to the mixing container (MC) such that the mixing ratio of the recovered refrigerant mixture satisfies a preset mixing ratio, and injects the blended refrigerant mixture into the air conditioning system through a refrigerant pump (RP).
