Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for the measurement of the rates of ion exchange and diffusion of an ionic conducting material or mixed ionic-electronic conducting material. The present invention shows that it is possible to apply isotopic exchange Raman spectroscopy (IERS) to study the ionic motion of an ion conductor or mixed ionic electronic conductor regardless of the presence of a Raman active mode related with the ion of interest.
