Abstract

Disclosed are a power converter (10), a method and apparatus for insulation detection thereof. The power converter (10) is provided with a switch between a node at which two alternating-current switches in any phase of an alternating-current side of the power converter are connected in series to each other and a virtual neutral point of the alternating-current side. The switch may be turned on while a second alternating-current switch connected thereto being turned on, to provide an alternating-current side detection loop for detecting the insulation impedance between an alternating-current side neutral point of the power converter and ground. The switch may also be turned on while a first alternating-current switch connected thereto being turned on and at least one switching transistor in the power converter being turned on, to provide a direct-current side detection loop for detecting the insulation impedance of the direct-current side of the power converter.
