Abstract
The invention relates to a compact and cost-efficient laser beam homogenizer apparatus (10) for high power lighting entertainment applications of at least 100 W rated input power comprising a light source (12), a light pipe (28) for receiving and homogenizing light from the light source (12), and a focusing lens (24) for coupling light into the light pipe (28), wherein the length (L) of the light pipe (28) is at least 10, preferably at least 25, times its aperture (A) .
