Abstract

A sheet postprocessing apparatus (20) restricts, when a plurality of sheets are placed on a processing tray (25), and a next sheet is switched back by a switchback roller (22), restricts a pair of cursors (28) from moving, during a period from start of the switchback transport of the next sheet by the switchback roller (22), to a time that the sheet conducted toward the siding path (27) reaches a prespecified position where the sheet is kept from interfering with the pair of cursors (28).
