Abstract

To appropriately preserve a log (history) of processing executed inside a device even when an error occurs in a system. Provided is an information processing apparatus including: a system memory configured to temporarily store a program of a system; a processor configured to execute system processing by the program stored in the system memory; and a device that includes a controller and an internal memory inside the device and configured to store a history of processing executed inside the device in a ring buffer area as history information, the ring buffer area being a part of the internal memory, in which when detecting occurrence of an error in which the system processing is not able to be normally continued, the processor acquires the history information stored in the ring buffer area in the device from the device, and stores the history information in the system memory.
