Abstract

The present invention relates to a secondary battery and a method of manufacturing the same, and is directed to providing a secondary battery capable of being manufactured by only bending after welding, for high assembly efficiency, and having a wide welding area allowing all tabs to be welded to a connection member, for improved heat dissipation performance due to reduced resistance, and a method of manufacturing the same. To this end, the present invention provides a secondary battery including a case (100); an electrode assembly (200) disposed inside the case (100) and including a first electrode (210) and a second electrode (220); a first tab member (310) connected to the first electrode (210)and extending from the electrode assembly (200); a cap assembly (400) disposed to face the electrode assembly (200) and including a first terminal (420) and a second terminal (430); a first connection member (500) that electrically connects the first terminal (420) of the cap assembly (400) to the first tab member (310); and a first connection hole (312) formed in the first tab member (310) so that the first connection member (500) is inserted into the first connection hole (312).
