Abstract

The present invention relates to the technical field of submarine cable laying and discloses a early warning and handling system for submarine cable laying and an application method thereof. The early warning and handling system for submarine cable laying is arranged on a submarine cable; one end of the submarine cable is connected to a cable reel at the stern of a submarine cable laying vessel, and the other end of the submarine cable is laid on the seabed; and the submarine cable is laid by a cable laying machine on the submarine cable laying vessel; wherein the system comprises weight components and buoyancy components alternately arranged at intervals on a part of the submarine cable located in the sea, and each weight component and each buoyancy component is connected to an alarm component. When sudden extreme sea conditions are encountered during submarine cable laying, the present invention can prevent the underwater submarine cable from drifting over a large range driven by ocean currents; meanwhile, it can provide early warning for nearby ships, offshore platforms and other facilities, thus avoiding scratches and damage to the submarine cable during the laying process.
